The current version of the iPhone is the iPhone 3G, just introduced in early summer of 2008. It is currently available in an 8GB or 16GB version.
It is an internet enabled multimedia mobile phone made by Apple Computer that runs on the AT&T wireless network.
The iPhone has a multi-touch screen that includes a virtual keyboard and virtual buttons you control with your fingers.
Also packed inside are a SIM card, a camera phone, a microphone, a portable media player (like iPod has), email, web browsing, WiFi connectivity, bluetooth connectivity and a speaker.
The battery life is rated at up to seven hours of video, six hours of web browsing, eight hours of talk time, 24 hours of music or up to 250 hours on standby.
The introduction of the iPhone, on June 29, 2007 was one of the most hyped events and won the iPhone Time Magazine's Invention of the Year award for 2007. There have been 2 revisions since the introduction.
