The Apple MacBook Pro was first introduced on January 10, 2006 at Macworld Expo by Steve Jobs. It was the first Mac laptop Apple introduced with the Intel chip inside.
They are currently being produced in two models...a 15" and a 17" and these come available in different configurations of course. The MacBook Pro is the high end laptop for Apple and replaced the Powerbook line. But hey, they still pretty much look the same on the outside.
It's inside that they are much more powerful than the Powerbook line. the new MacBook Pro's have the Intel Core 2 Duo processor, which is blazing fast. These laptops can also support up to 4GB of RAM vs the 2GB in the older Powerbooks.
